In the heart of York Beach, on the Short Sands, a historic renaissance has begun. The original Atlantic House was built in 1888. Over one hundred years later, the building was dilapidated and in dire need of a renovation. As part of a $12M project, the renovation of the all new Atlantic House was completed in the Fall of 2007. The amazing transformation of this historic building has made Atlantic House and Blue Sky a “must see” destination for visitors.

Blue Sky is a restaurant located on the second floor of the Atlantic House. Elegant enough to be in Manhattan, Blue Sky offers guests a luxury dining experience and a memorable place to share good times with friends and family. Blue Sky has it all, offering the best in fine dining, first class service and the most beautiful, sophisticated atmosphere in all of Southern Maine.

Our fresh, seasonal menu delights guests with old Maine favorites from sea and land. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with cream-colored banquettes and booths, which are scattered throughout the room. The floors are red oak and the ceiling is white-washed poplar. The double-sided, wood-burning fireplace warms both the lounge and the dining room. And in the summertime, Blue Sky quickly becomes the most popular place to be when our nightly entertainment begins! Our performers can be heard playing across the city from the deck which offers 60 seats to diners and those looking for cocktails and relaxation. Blue Sky offers live music every night throughout the summer and we are open year-round to provide guests with luxury accommodations and delicious casual and fine dining options.
